Privacy, in plain English.

This page is a draft awaiting lawyer review. It describes what the site
actually does today, in plain language, so nothing here should be treated as final legal
advice until that review is complete.
Texas Tucker is operated by VFXMAGIC Pty Ltd (ABN 31 125 063 078) and is
an independent Australian retailer of genuine imported US products, not affiliated with or endorsed by Buc-ee's.
This page explains what we collect on this website, why, where
it is stored, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to see or delete your own
details.
What we collect
- Which product button you clicked (for example "Beaver Nuggets" or "The Grey Hoodie").
This is recorded the moment you click, even if you don't go on to join the waitlist.
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist, and a record that you ticked the consent
checkbox (with a timestamp).
- Ad and source tags from the link you clicked (for example which ad, which platform),
so we know which ad brought you here.
- A random session code (not your name or email) that links your signup and product
clicks to your survey answers, so we can read them together without needing your
identity twice.
- If you fill in the optional survey: your answers, which may include your postcode if
you choose to give it. Every survey question is optional.
- Our form provider may also record standard submission metadata against each form entry
(such as an IP address, browser/device information, and the page you came from). We use
Netlify Forms for this site and have not independently audited exactly what its dashboard
stores, so we describe this as "may record" rather than promise a specific list.
We do not collect payment details anywhere on this site. Nothing is for sale yet, and no
money changes hands.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Drop 01 opens for orders, and what it costs, before anyone else.
- To work out which products to bring on the first shipment from Texas, using what people
actually click and say, rather than guessing.
Where it is stored
Form submissions (email signups, product-click records, and survey answers) are stored by
Netlify Forms, the service that runs this website's forms. Each submission also triggers an
email notification to our own inbox. We do not run our own database or server for this
data.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, ever. If a Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
advertising pixel is installed on this page, Meta receives device and browsing data about
your visit (for example your browser, approximate location and which pages you viewed), so we
can tell which ad worked. We do not send your name, email or survey answers to Meta, and we
will not enable Meta's "advanced matching" feature, which would otherwise let the pixel send
Meta a hashed version of details like your email address.
How long we keep it
We keep your details, including the notification emails these forms send to our own
inbox, until you unsubscribe, or for 12 months after this test ends, whichever comes
first.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe any time. Every email we send has a way to opt out, and
we will stop emailing you as soon as you do.
- See or delete what we hold on you. Email
hello@texastucker.com.au and we will find and, if
you ask, delete your details, including the copies sitting in our own inbox as
notification emails, not just the form record itself. This is currently a manual process
(a small team looking by hand), so please allow a few days.
